Winter/Spring 2017 lambs and kids are arriving!

Posted

We began the baby season earlier than usual this year, and we are still waiting on a few mothers to deliver as I write.  Our angora goats were sired by three different bucks this year: CHF Sebastian, our senior herdsire, HOME TJ, a new soft brown buck in the R/B/B pool, and our own CWF Seamus, a reverse badger son of CWF Bonnie and CHF Sebastian.  We had several AAGBA white does bred this year, with some lovely color carrying offspring as a result.  These babies should produce gorgeous color when bred back to colored angora goats, and bring the fine soft fiber of the AAGBA genetics to...

2015 Kidding!

2015 was the year of reverse badgers!  We had two sets of reverse badger twins and will have two bucklings with this color pattern for sale at weaning.  One buckling is a black and silver and the other is a black and cream.  Both are sired by our Coon Hollow Sebastian and the dams are from old foundation colored angora goat lines.  These reverse badger boys will be $400 each at weaning and are CAGBA eligible.  We also have a white buckling out of two colored parents available.  He can be wethered and would make a great fiber pet.  As a wether, he will be $150.  If you would like him...

Tawny

It would be impossible to talk about the goats without talking about Tawny.  She is our “logo goat” and many of our goats have Tawny in their bloodlines.  She came, with her daughter, Asha, to our farm in 2009.  At that time, she was ten years old.  We tried to retire her in both 2013 and 2014, but she had other ideas!  In February 2014, the snow was deep enough that she clambered over the fence to get in with Sebastian.  Afraid she would try again and get hurt, if I took her out, I left her in and gave her lots of extra grain.  In August, she gifted us with Sterling, a...
